The Casper high school basketball teams wrapped up the regular season over the weekend in Sweetwater county with the Kelly Walsh and Natrona boys secured spots in the state tournament with a couple of wins. The KW boys defeated Rock Springs on Friday 51-32 and Green River on Saturday 71-44 to finish 8-2 in the 4A West and secure the #1 seed in the upcoming regional tournament in Evanston plus an automatic bid to the state tournament. The Natrona boys defeated Green River on Friday 52-38 and nipped Rock Springs 50-41 to grab the #2 seed in the 4A West at 7-3; also picking up an automatic bid to the state tournament. On the girls side, Natrona swept Rock Springs and Green River to finish the conference season at 10-0. So the Fillies earn a bid to the state tournament and will be the #1 seed in the regional tournament. The Kelly Walsh girls split their games over the weekend. The Trojans lost to Rock Springs on Friday 48-47 and came back to beat Green River 58-41. So KW finished at 6-4 in the 4A West and will be the #3 seed at regionals. They'll have a loser out game against #6 Green River on Thursday. The winner advances to the state tournament.
