The Oakland Raiders remain on top of the AFC West Division of the NFL after holding off the Minnesota Vikings Sunday afternoon 27-21. Meanwhile the San Diego Chargers continue to falter with their fifth straight loss, this time to the Chicago Bears 31-20.

The Raiders (6-4) in their win had quarterback Carson Palmer throwing for 2 touchdowns and running for another. Meanwhile the Chargers (4-6) continue to slide downward. Bears quarterback Jay Cutler threw for 286 yards and 2-touchdowns, but a costly one for him. Cutler suffered a broken right thumb and is expected to miss upwards of six weeks. The Bears are 7-3 and very much in the running for a wildcard berth in the NFC.

The Denver Broncos had Sunday off after their 17-13 win over the New York Jets on Thursday night. Denver (5-5) is at San Diego this Sunday. Kansas City (4-5)  is at New England (6-3)  tonight in Monday Night Football.

The Casper Lady T-Birds won all three of their games as they hosted the annual Pizza Hut Classic at Erickson Gym. The T-Birds (7-0)  defeated Colby Kansas, Eastern Utah and Northeastern JC of Sterling. They'll be at North Idaho for three games Dec. 1-3.

The T-Bird men fell to 2-2 on the season losing twice over the weekend to Salt Lake Community College Friday night and Snow College Saturday night 91-64. The T-Birds will be home this Thursday through Saturday for their annual Thanksgiving Day Tournament. They will play Colorado Northwest of Rangely, Cloud Co. of Kansas and Lamar CC.

The Wyoming Cowboy Football team became bowl eligible Saturday when they defeated New Mexico 31-10 at War Memorial Stadium. Quarterback Brett Smith who was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week threw for 212 yards and ran for 140 yards and 2-touchdowns. The Pokes (7-3) and 4-1 in the Mountain West travels to Boise State this Saturday.

The Wyoming Cowboy Men's Basketball team suffered their first loss of the year Saturday night to Wisconsin-Green Bay 52-44. The Pokes shooting was horrendous at 18-percent from the field in the second half. They will host South Dakota Tuesday night at the AA in Laramie.
