A big 2nd half a play for Kelly Walsh led them to a 57-22 win over Cheyenne South in 4A high school football Friday night in Cheyenne. After a tight first half, 18-16 at halftime the Trojans struck for 3 touchdowns in the matter of 3 minutes and 50 seconds in the third quarter  to make it 36-18. KW would go on to score one more in the 3rd to lead 43-16. South led after one quarter, but the Trojans would score 2 touchdowns and a 31 yard field goal by John Fanto in the 2nd quarter.

It was another big night for Trojan runningback, Senior John Fabrizius who ran for 191 yards on 25 carries and scored 4 touchdowns. Fabrizius ran for 195 yards the week before at Rock Springs. Quarterback Jacob Tapp had a good night throwing the ball and getting good protection from his offensive line going 8 of 15 for 153 yards and 2 touchdowns, one each  to Talen Markovich for 15 yards  and Clay Carlson for 45 yards. Carlson led the KW receivers with two receptions for 71 yards. Kelly Walsh totaled 544 yards in total offense with 391 on the ground and Tapp's 153 yards passing.

South got another good  offensive performance from Junior runningback Adam Haberkorn who scored all three Bison touchdowns of 21, 68 and 51 yards. Haberkorn rushed for 186 yards on 25 carries. South offensive totals were 204 yards rushing and 85 yards passing for a total of 289 yards. Kelly Walsh's defense had 2 interceptions, one each by Marco Sanchez and Tanner Bekke.

The Trojans (4-3) have secured a playoff spot and will host Sheridan (5-2) Friday night at Harry Geldien Stadium, in the Prep Game of the Week at 7:00pm. Both teams will try to improve on their playoff seedings which begin at the end of the month. The Broncs drilled Laramie 49-6.

Top ranked Natrona remains unbeaten with a 51-7 win over Evanston for the Mustangs Homecoming game. The Mustangs (7-0) and Gillette have earned the top two seeds for the playoffs. The Camels (7-0) beat Cheyenne Central 21-7. And it was Cheyenne East over Rock Springs 49-7.
