In BMX Vert, athletes ride a 60-foot wide ramp with 11.5-foot conversions from a gentle curve to two feet of full vertical. Riders combine technical spins, lip tricks, and big air to complete the most impressive 30-second runs they can without crashing on the way down (or up).

In an unprecedented feat across X Games history, veteran Jamie Bestwick rode to win his ninth gold medal in a row in the BMX Vert with an uncontested first-run 92.66. Dennis McCoy, 47 years old and one of only three athletes to have competed in every X Games over the last 20 years, finished in the bronze position, with Simon Tabron earning silver with an impressive string of 540 variations.
