The Denver Broncos pulled out another 4th quarter win, this time over the Minnesota Vikings 35-32 Sunday at the Metrodome. Kicker Matt Prater's 23-yard field goal with time expiring gave the Broncos their fifth win in the last six games.

Prater kicked two field goals in the final 93 seconds for the Broncos (7-5) who went ahead of the Oakland Raiders (7-5) in the AFC West. Denver has a better divisional record at 3-2 over the Raiders 2-2 mark. Quarterback Tim Tebow had his best day throwing the ball, 10 of 15 for 202 yards and two touchdowns. The Broncos also won their fifth straight road game, something they haven't done since the days of John Elway. Denver will host the struggling Chicago (7-5) Sunday at Mile High. The Bears lost to the Kansas City Chiefs 10-3.

The Wyoming Cowboys after an 8-4 season earned a bowl bid and they'll be going to the New Mexico Bowl to meet the Temple Owls (8-4) in Albuquerque on Dec. 17th. This will be the Pokes second trip to the New Mexico Bowl in 3 years. They beat Fresno State back in 2009 in double overtime 35-28. The Cowboys completed the regular season on a high note defeating Colorado State 22-19 Saturday. In doing so the Pokes won the Bronze Boot for the third straight time. For CSU, the loss cost Head Coach Steve Fairchild his job. He was fired after three straight years of 3-9 records.

Former Wyoming Football Joe Glenn is back coaching. Glenn has been named the Head Coach at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. Glenn has been out of coaching since being fired at Wyoming after the 2008 season. Glenn was 30-41 in his years at Laramie. Glenn did win 2 Division II national titles at Northern Colorado in 1996-97. Plus an FCS national championship at the University of Montana in 2001.

The National Finals Rodeo moving along tonight with round number 5.  In yesterday's 4th round, Jason Miller of Lance Creek won the round in the Steer Wrestling with a 3 and 3, so he earned close to $18,000. Miller is 2nd in the average and 2nd in the world standings. In the Team Roping, Casper's Jhett Johnson along with partner Turtle Powell picked up a little money with a 6th place finish yesterday, winning close to $3,000. Jhett is 2nd in the average and 4th in the world standings. In the Bull Riding, Wheatland's Tyler Willis took 2nd in the round with an 84. Willis leads in the average and is in 7th place inthe world standings, and won over $14,000 yesterday. Gillette's Bobby Welsh was 3rd in the round last night with a 73 and picks up $10,673. Welsh is 2nd in the average and 6th in the world standings.
