The St. Louis Cardinals lead the National League Championship Series 2 games to one after beating San Francisco 3-1 after a 3 1/2-hour rain delay. The Cardinals also beat Giants ace pitcher Matt Cain who surrendered a 2-run homer to Matt Carpenter in the 3rd inning. Game 4 of that series will be tonight.

Game 4 of the American League Championship Series is slated this afternoon with New York at Detroit. Last night's game was postponed due to the threat of rain. The Yankees who have struggled big time at the plate  benched Alex Rodriguez and Curtis Granderson last night and it will be up to Manager Joe Girardi whether the two all-stars play this afternoon.

College football and the Wyoming Cowboys will be on the road on Saturday night to face Fresno State. The Pokes 1-5 overall and 0-2 in the Mountain West Conference are coming off that 28-27 loss to Air Force back on Saturday in Laramie. Fresno State comes in at 4-3 overall and 2-1 in league play. The Bulldogs with the 29th ranked defense in the country. Cowboy quarterback Brett Smith coming off his second concussion of the season is day to day leading up to the Fresno State game. Kickoff is at 8:30pm Mountain time, and can be heard on AM 1030 KTWO.

The Prep Game of the Week this Friday night at top ranked Natrona hosting 2nd ranked Gillette. Both teams come in at 8-0 and will host quarterfinal games next Friday night. Kickoff is at 7:00pm with the pregame show at 6:45 on AM 1400 ESPN. Kelly Walsh will host Cheyenne Central at 7pm at Harry Geldien Stadium. Both the Trojans (4-4) and Indians (4-4) have qualified for the playoffs next week. The winner will play at the Cheyenne East/Sheridan loser as those two teams play Friday night in Sheridan.
