The past few football seasons have been tough on us Pokes fans. However, it doesn't keep us from showing that "Pokes Pride," no matter where the schedule takes our beloved team.

Jerry, Rose and Mallory Fry (Casper), Chris & Erica Mazurie (Laramie) and Todd & Mary Yost (Laramie), Robyn & Wade Alexander (Lander) traveled to the Big Island near Kona, ultimately flying on to Oahu to support the Cowboys last weekend.

We went to the tailgate festivities where we met and
had some fun with a lot of Hawaii fans.  But amongst those fans were
several Wyoming Cowboy fans too. Wyoming fans took up a whole section
near the end of the stadium.  We were there and cheered very loudly.
It was a fun game, even though the outcome wasn't what we had hoped
for.  We were treated with real Hawaiian hospitality at the tailgate
park and at the stadium.

Rose, hit the nail on the head with her statement "the outcome wasn't what we would like," however, with the arrival of Coach Craig Bohl and staff optimism abounds that the program will soon turn the corner, so to speak, and we'll soon be back to the glory days of Cowboy Football.

Have patience and watch this program grow. "Powder River let'er Buck" will be said with pride once again around the Cowboy State.

The Pokes welcome San Jose State to 7,220 feet on Saturday. Pre-game is 1pm with a 2pm kick off on AM 1030 KTWO.
