It's amazing what help you can get these days.

Going into the last day of the regular season, the Casper Cutthroats needed some help, in order to secure home-field advantage, for the Mountain Collegiate Baseball League Championship series.

They got, but in a way that they weren't counting on.

The Cutthroats (26-15 overall, 21-15 in the MCBL) needed the Ft. Collins Foxes to lose one of two game at home vs. Cheyenne.

Instead, Mother Nature decided to get into the act, and washed out both games.

As a result, Ft. Collins finished the regular season with a record of 19-14 in the MCBL, which put them one-half game behind the Cutthroats in the standings.

The MCBL Championship series is a best of 3 format, between the top 2 teams at the end of the regular season.

Game 1 is scheduled for Friday, July 27th at Ft. Collins.

Game 2 is scheduled for Saturday, July 28th at Casper.

Game 3, if needed, is scheduled for Sunday, July 29th at Casper.
