With a slightly overcast sky and festival-like atmosphere, the Casper Ghosts had everything they needed for an exceptional home opener...that is, everything but a good finish. Leading the entire game, the Casper Ghosts lost in the ninth inning when they gave up two runs. Here's Ghosts' announcer Adam Spolane's recap from the Ghosts official Website:

The Ghosts grabbed the lead in the first. David Kandilas started it with a leadoff triple, he scored with one out when Harold Riggins doubled, and Riggins scored on a 2-out RBI double by Francisco Sosa to make it 2-0 after an inning.

Idaho Falls answered with a run in the second to make it 2-1 Ghosts

In the third, the Ghosts added to the lead. Kandilas started the inning with a single, then Rosell Herrera hit his first home run of the season to put the Ghosts up 4-1.

The loss in the Ghosts fourth by one run this season, and they fall to 2-7 overall.

The Ghosts and Chukars continue their 4-game series Wednesday night. First pitch is set for 7:05 at Mike Lansing Field
