The Casper Invitational High School golf tournament was shortened to one day at the 3 Crowns Golf Club thanks to snowfall on Thursday. The weather was picture perfect on Friday with Riverton's Easton Paxton winning the boys individual championship with a 64. Paxton, earlier this summer, won a U.S. local qualifier in Riverton. His effort helped the Wolverines win the team championship by 14 strokes over Cheyenne Central.

On the girls side, Natrona's Kaitlyn Skavdahl was the individual champion, firing a 73. The Fillies were the runaway winner in the event, beating Scottsbluff by 33 strokes.

The State Championship tournaments are 2 weeks away.
