It’s not too late to register for the second session of the popular Taekwondo classes at the Casper Recreation Center. This Korean form of karate is for ages 8 and up (6 & 7 year olds allowed if accompanied by a participating adult).

When I was a kid I was shorter than most, and moved around so much that I attended 15 schools in 13 years. Basically, I was the new kid, and I got picked on a lot. Taekwondo changed that.

It wasn't just that I now had the skills and knowledge to defend myself, but my confidence received a much needed boost, and I was able to avoid more fights than not because I was no longer afraid. Add to that the fact that I learned coordination and enough discipline to ensure that I would never let my body get too out of shape, and you have the perfect exercise regimen.

Improve your fitness level and self-confidence, learn self-defense tactics and receive instruction in classical TaeKwon-Do under the requirements of US and International TaeKwon-Do Federations which involves the skilled application of punches, kicks, blocks and dodges with bare hands and feet.

Beginners meet two times a week on Tuesday and Thursday, Advanced class meets Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 5:30-7:00 pm.
