Natrona and Kelly Walsh will play their home openers tonight in 4A football. The top ranked Mustangs (2-0) play host to the fifth ranked  Cheyenne Central Indians  (1-1) in the Prep Game of the Week on AM 1400 ESPN.

Kickoff is at 7pm with the pregame show at 6:45 at Cheney Alumni Field. The Mustangs are coming off a solid 38-13 win over Sheridan, and Central beat Cheyenne South 49-6. On the east side, Kelly Walsh will open the home schedule tonight against Laramie. The Trojans (1-1) are coming off an impressive win on the road at Evanston 17-0. The Plainsmen (0-2) lost to Cheyenne East 45-6. Kelly Walsh will be at Gillette next Friday  night Sept. 14th  in the Prep Game of the Week.

The Wyoming Cowboys have their home opener Saturday afternoon when they host Toledo at War Memorial Stadium. Both teams are looking for their first win of the season. The Pokes lost at Texas 37-17 and Toledo lost in overtime to Arizona. Kickoff is at 2pm with the pregame show at 1pm on AM 1030 KTWO.

The Colorado Rockies lost to the Atlanta Braves 1-0 for the second straight day, and both times, the Rockies allowed an unearned run to be the difference. It's the first time in 28 years in the majors that one team has beaten another 1-0 in back to back games with one unearned run. The Rockies start a weekend series tonight at Philadelphia.

In high school tennis, the Casper schools hook up in the Golden Raquet that will be begin this afternoon at 3pm at the Casper Country Club.
