Top ranked Natrona rolled to their fourth win and Kelly Walsh came up short in their upset bid against second ranked Gillette. The Mustangs shutout Rock Springs 43-0 on the Tigers Homecoming night and the Trojans lost to the Camels 30-23. The Mustangs and Trojans will play the annual Oil Bowl Game this Friday night at Cheney Alumni Field. Kickoff is at 6:00 with pregame show at 5:30pm on AM 1400 ESPN. Elsewhere in 4A football Friday, Third rated Sheridan defeated fifth ranked Evanston 42-35 with Sheridan's running back Jordan Roberts rushing for 354 yards and four touchdowns. Number four Cheyenne East beat cross-town rival Central 21-14 and it was Laramie rolling past Cheyenne South 56-6.

The Denver Broncos won their first game of the season, holding off the Cincinnati Bengals Sunday 24-22. Eric Decker caught two Kyle Orton passes for touchdowns. Running back Willis McGahee rushed for over 100 yards. Orton was 15 of 25 for 195. The Broncos already banged up going into the game and played without eight starters including two receivers. The Broncos will be at Tennesee on Sunday.

The Wyoming Cowboys are 3-0 as they beat Bowling Green on the road Saturday 28-27. The Pokes led 28-21 late in the fourth quarter and allowed Bowling Green to drive 90 yards in a minute to score to make it 28-27. But Gabe Knapton blocked the extra point. The Cowboys also forced six turnovers and returned a fumble for a touchdown. The Cowboys will host ninth ranked Nebraska (3-0) this Saturday evening at 5:30pm.
