It was a rough day for the Casper high school soccer teams in the state tournament with all 3 losing in the first round. On the boys side, Natrona was a #1 seed and were beaten by Sheridan 3-1. Niki Vlastos scored the lone Mustang goal in the 26th minute but Sheridan was paced by Dontae Crow who scored 3 times. Natrona entered the tournament with a record of 13-2-1 and will now play Green River in the consolation bracket on Friday. On the girls side, Kelly Walsh was a #1 seeded and they were defeated in overtime by Gillette 3-1. Brooke Johnson scored the Trojans lone goal but the Camels scored twice in the overtime session. KW entered the tournament with a record of 9-8-1. The Natrona girls came in as a #3 seed and were beaten by Sheridan 3-2. NC found themselves down 2-0 at halftime and tied the match up thanks to a couple of goals from Sarah Jones. Sheridan scored in extra time to seal the win which dropped the Fillies into a consolation round match against Kelly Walsh on Friday. NC came into the tournament with a record of 12-5-2.
