College Rodeo Season Moves Through Torrington.

Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington played host to last week's Central Rocky Mountain College Rodeo with Chadron State winning the men's section and Sheridan College winning the women's portion. For the guys, Dantan Bertsch of Casper College won the bareback with a 75 in the short go to finish with 153 on 2. He earned 160 points for his team and 160 points for himself, so Bertsch is tied for the lead in the region. The T-birds finished 2nd in the rodeo and sit in 3rd place in the Central Rocky Mountain Region.

On the ladies side, Kodee Williams of Casper College won the barrel racing, so that was her first win at the college level in her career. Murphy Haun of Casper College was the winner of the breakway roping  with a 6 and 5. The Lady T-Birds are 5th in the region with the Colorado State rodeo coming up on August 10th.
