Austin Conway has become the first player to verbally commit to the 2015 Wyoming Cowboys basketball recruiting class.

The 5'10 point guard from Overland High School in Aurora, CO announced his decision late Tuesday through his Twitter account.

He averaged 10.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game for the Trailblazers as a junior last season. He led Overland to the Colorado Class 5A semifinals.

Conway is considered a three-star recruit by Rivals.com and 247sports.com. He's also ranked among the top prospects in the state of Colorado.

He had scholarship offers from Indiana, Rice and Nebraska, while also drawing the attention of Arizona and Arizona State.

Conway would become the fifth player from Colorado to sign and play for the Cowboys since Larry Shyatt returned as head coach in 2011-12.

The first time basketball recruits can officially sign a letter of intent is not until November.
