The Wyoming Cowboys lost to San Diego State on the road Tuesday night 79-51. The Cowboys were playing without their leading scorer and rebounder Leonard Washington and it was a total mismatch against the Aztecs. The Pokes shot a measly 16 percent from the field in the first half, going 4 of 24 and scoring a grand total of 13 points. At the same time, the Aztecs shot 68 percent from the field in each half. They were led by Jamaal Franklin with 20 points. The Cowboys drop to 4-8 in the Mountain West Conference and 18-8 overall. The Aztecs to 7-5 in the conference and 19-7 overall. The Cowboys are back home on Saturday night hosting UNLV.

The Wyoming Cowgirls will be at home tonight when they host San Diego State. The Cowgirls are coming off a loss to Fresno State on Saturday to drop to 8-3 in the conference. San Diego State comes in as the leader in the conference at 10-1. Game time tonight is 7:00pm from the AA.

The Casper College teams are on the road tonight to play Gillette. The T-Bird women are 10-4 in Region-IX play and 21-6 overall. The Gillette women are 10-4 in regional play. The T-Bird men are 11-3 in regional play and 20-7 overall. Gillette is 10-4. Both games tonight on AM 1400 ESPN.

State high school wrestling tournaments will be held Friday and Saturday at the Casper Events Center. Wrestling starts both days at 9:00am with the finals on Saturday at 5:15pm. The State swimming championships for the boys will be held starting Thursday at Gillette.
