The Wyoming Cowboys suffered yet another Mountain West Conference loss at home, this time to New Mexico 63-59 Wednesday night at the AA. The Pokes were able to rally from being down by 9 late in the game to tie it at 59 with a 3 pointer from Riley Grabau. The Loboe's Hugh Greenwood gave New Mexico the lead for good with a jumper 61-59 with 7 seconds remaining. But on Wyoming's ensuing possession, Leonard Washington airmailed the inbounds pass out of bounds on the other end of the court and that ended it. New Mexico was led in scoring by Cameron Bairstow with 17 points as the Loboes climb to 5-1 in the conference and 18-3 overall. Wyoming was led by Derrious Gilmore with hit 5-3 pointers and finished with 15 points. The Cowboys are 2-5 in the Mountain West and 15-5 overall. They'll play at Colorado State on Saturday.

The Wyoming Cowgirls beat New Mexico on the road 72-54 Wednesday night. UW was led by Kayla Woodward (Sheridan) with 20 points and Kaitlyn Mileto with 18. The Cowgirls are 5-2 in the Mountain West Conference and 16-4 overall. Wyoming will host Colorado State at the AA on Saturday afternoon.

The Casper College T-Bird men and women's teams picked up wins over Western Wyoming of Rock Springs Wednesday night at Erickson Gym, with each team snapping 3 game losing streaks. In the men's game, the T-Birds with a solid win 96-75. Dominique Lee led the Birds in scoring with 20 points with Remi Debo adding 19.

The Lady T-Birds got back on the winning trail with a 60-57 overtime victory. The T-Birds fell behind right away 15-0 but rallied to force overtime and picking up the win in OT. Cheyanne Balster had 12 points to lead the way. Both T-Bird teams are in Riverton Saturday to play Central Wyoming.

High school basketball tonight as the Casper schools Kelly Walsh and Natrona match up at the Casper Events Center. The girls game will tip-off at 6:15pm. The Fillies are 4-0 and on top of the 4A West Conference and 13-2 overall. The Lady Trojans are 3-1 in the 4A West and 3-13 overall. In the boys match up both the Mustangs and Trojans are 2-2 in the West Conference. The Mustangs are 6-9 overall and the Trojans are 8-9. The boys game will start at around 8:00pm. Both games on AM 1400 ESPN.
