It's bowl week for the Wyoming Cowboys as they meet Temple University on Saturday in Albuquerque in the New Mexico Bowl. The Cowboys will be playing in their 2nd New Mexico Bowl in the last 3 years, winning it in 2009.

The Cowboys are 7 point underdogs with both teams coming in at 8-4. Kickoff on Saturday is at noon with an 11:00am pregame show on AM 1030 KTWO.

Also in college football, Colorado State has hired Alabama Offensive Coordinator Jim McElwain as their new Head Coach, replacing the fired Steve Fairchild. McElwain joined Alabama in 2008 after stops in Fresno State, Michigan State, Louisville, Montana State and the NFL's Oakland Raiders.

Men's college basketball tonight as the Wyoming Cowboys are at home to meet UC Irvine at the AA. The Pokes are 9-1, coming off an impressive 65-54 road win at the University of Colorado on Friday night. Adam Waddell, a Cody grad had 17 points all in the second half was named the Mountain West Conference Player of the Week. UC Irvine comes to Laramie with a 2-6 record. Tip-off tonight is at 7:00pm on AM 1030 KTWO.

NFL Monday Night Football had Seattle beating St. Louis 30-13 to keep the Seahawks playoff hopes alive with a record of 6-7. Two NFL coaches got their pink slips yesterday. Kansas City fired Head Coach Todd Haley. The Chiefs are 5-8 after going 10-6 and winning the AFC West Division last season. The Miami Dolphins have fired Head Coach Tony Sparano. The Dolphins are 4-9 after starting the season 0-7.
