The Wyoming Cowboys could never recover from a slow start and lost their Mountain West Conference opener to San Diego State on Wednesday night 67-55. The Aztecs jumped out to a 17-4 lead and also led at one point 23-7. The Cowboys did have a nice 2nd half rally to make the game interesting but SDSU pulled away down the stretch. Neither team was very good from the 3 point line. Wyoming was 6-23 and San Diego State was 4-20. The Pokes were led in scoring once again by Josh Adams who threw in 16 while Hayden Dalton had 13. UW is 7-7 on the year and will be at Nevada on Saturday.
