The Wyoming Cowboys posted an impressive 76-71 win over UNLV Wednesday night in Laramie in a promising start to the Mountain West Conference season. The Pokes received a fabulous game from Larry Nance Jr. who threw in 29 points on 11-17 shooting from the field. The Cowboys made some hay at the free throw line making 15-19 and had to withstand a shooting barrage from UNLV's Christian wood who tallied 29 points on 10-15 shooting from the floor. UW is 12-2 overall and 1-0 in league play with a road game Saturday night at San Jose State. The Rebels fall to 9-4 overall and 0-1 in league play.
