Chaundra Sewell had 22 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists to keep the Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team undefeated at home and beat Boise State, 77-60, on Saturday in the Arena-Auditorium.

After being tied at 20, a 17-0 run put the Cowgirls up 37-20. The Broncos got back in the game by holding the Cowgirls scoreless for the last 3:45 of the half and going on a 9-0 run to put the score at 39-31 at halftime.

"That's happened to us this year," said head coach Joe Legerski. "We missed some free throws, we turned the ball over, and let Boise State take the momentum into the locker room. We had to come out and re-establish ourselves in the second half and win four minute segments and we were able to do that through out the whole second half."

The Cowgirls got 11 points off their bench and out-rebounded BSU 22-to-11 in the second half to maintain and then build on their lead.

"I thought what we talk about everyday in practice came true," said Legerski. "You never know when you're going to be called upon. When you're called upon you need to make plays, you need to produce points, assists and rebounds... I thought the second unit really came out and played well and played extended minutes in the second half."

The Cowgirls (18-4, 7-2) were led by Sewell with her 8th double-double of the season. Kayla Woodward added 13 points and Ashley Sickles put up 10, while Allison Gorrell had 10 points and 8 assists. UW shot 50 percent (29-58) from the field, 36.4 percent (4-11) from 3-point range and 57.7 percent (15-26) from the free throw line.

BSU (10-12, 3-6) was led by Lauren Lenhardt with 19 points and 8 boards. The Broncos show 43.6 percent (24-55) from the field, 38.5 percent (5-13) from beyond the arc and 58.3 (7-12) from the charity stripe.

Wyoming hosted the Walk for Women before the game with proceeds benefiting the Play 4Kay Initiative. The Cowgirls hit the road to take on Nevada on Wednesday, February 13th. The game will tip at 7:30 p.m. with coverage starting on KOWB at 7 p.m.
