The Cowgirl basketball program looks to get back on the winning track this week against the Air Force Falcons. The game is set for Wednesday, January 22, at 7:00 p.m. in the Arena-Auditorium. Wyoming is 11-4 overall and 2-2 in MW action after a tough, 74-68 loss against San Jose State on Saturday afternoon.Kayla Woodward is averaging a team high 17.1 points plus 7.5 rebounds, while Fallon Lewis is adding 14.7 points and a team high 9.3 rebounds. Kaitlyn Mileto follows with 13.7 points and Marquelle Dent leads the way with 4.1 assists plus 9.1 points per game. As a team, the Cowgirls are shooting 381-932 (.409) from the field while averaging 41.7 rebounds and 71.9 points per game.

The Falcons are 1-15 overall and 0-6 in the MW coming into this contest. Last time out, they lost to Colorado State, 87-49, in Colorado Springs. They are led by Cherae Medina who is averaging a team high 10.5 points plus 3.8 rebounds. Madeleine Philpot brings down a team high 4.5 rebounds. They return two starters and eight letterwinners to a team that went 4-26 overall and 3-13 in the MW last season.

This will be 44th meeting between the two schools. Wyoming leads the series 41-2. The last time the two teams met was February 27, 2013 as the Cowgirls defeated the Falcons, 88-63, in Laramie. Air Force is coached by Andrea Williams who is in her fourth season with the program.
