Cowgirls Lose MWC Opener

The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team dropped to 5-6 overall and 0-1 in Mountain West play after a 58-55 road loss to UNLV on Wednesday afternoon in Las Vegas. Neither team shot the ball particularly well. UW shot 34% from the floor and UNLV 37% Marquelle Dent who was the MWC's leading scorer had a rough game, going 2-13 from the field for 7 points. The Cowgirls were led by Jordan Sibrel with 14 points. UNLV was paced by Danielle Miller with 26. UW will host San Jose State on Sunday in Laramie.
