The Wyoming Cowgirls left Albuquerque with a much needed win on Saturday as they survived the Lady Lobos 60-58. New Mexico had a chance to tie or the win the game in the final seconds but missed a 3 pointer near the end of regulation. The Cowgirls are trying to re-identify themselves after the loss of their leading scorer, Liv Roberts to a season ending knee injury. UW had 3 players in double figures with Marta Gomez, Clara Tapia and Selale Kepenc all had 12 points apiece. The Cowgirls are 19-8 overall and 11-5 in Mountain West play and can finish no lower than 5th in the league. UW will host MWC leader Colorado State on Tuesday in Laramie.
