The Casper Coyotes junior hockey team was eliminated from the Thorne Cup playoffs in the Western State Hockey League after being swept in best of 3 series with the Ogden Mustangs on the road over the weekend. The Coyotes lost the opening game of the series on Friday 5-3 as they were outshot 58-39. Tim Friberg had 2 goals for Casper and Martin Vitolins had the other. On Saturday, Casper lost again, this time by the final score of 4-2. Brock Weitl and Victor Thim notched goals for the Coyotes who finished the season at 37-14-3. Casper had 3 players who went over the 100 point mark this season, Thim and Vitolins each finished with 115 and Erik Stenbacka had 101. Thim led the Coyotes in goals this season with 43.
