The Wyoming Cowboy basketball team dropped a tough 78-76 in a packed Moby Arena in Fort Collins on Tuesday night, UW's Justin James threw in a 3 pointer with a 17 seconds to go to pit the Pokes a 76-75 lead only to watch CSU's Prentiss Nixon can a 3 pointer with 5 seconds to go for the winning margin. The win for the Rams resulted in pandemonium at Moby with the fans storming the court after the final buzzer. James led the Cowboys with 24 points with Alan Herndon chipped in 17. Nixon led the Rams with 23 as CSU advances to 21-9 overall and 13-4 in Mountain West play. The Cowboys sit at 17-13 overall and 7-10 in league play with a home game against San Jose State coming up on Saturday.
