UNDATED (AP) — The Detroit Tigers have amassed quite a collection of Cy Young Award winners.

The latest is David Price, who was acquired from Tampa Bay in a three-team deal with Seattle before Thursday's trade deadline.

The Rays received left-hander Drew Smyly and minor league infielder Willy Adames from the Tigers. Tampa Bay also got infielder Nick Franklin from Seattle, with Detroit outfielder Austin Jackson going to the Mariners.

Price is 11-8 with a 3.11 ERA in 23 starts this season, two years after his first 20-win campaign.

The trade joins Price with Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander in the rotation for the AL Central-leading Tigers, giving Detroit the last three AL Cy Young winners.

Boston parted with ace Jon Lester and No. 2 John Lackey while getting a slugging outfielder who's tailor-made for Fenway Park.

The Oakland Athletics acquired Lester, outfielder Jonny Gomes (GOHMZ) and cash from the Red Sox for Yoenis Cespedes (yoh-EHN'-ihs SESH'-peh-dehs) and a draft pick. Lester is 10-7 with a career-best 2.52 ERA in 21 starts in his final season before becoming a free agent. He joins a rotation that already has Scott Kazmir, Sonny Gray and the recently acquired Jeff Samardzija (suh-MAR'-juh).

Cespedes was dealt to the Bosox a little more than two weeks after winning the Home Run Derby for the second straight year. He's hitting .256 with 17 homers and 67 RBIs in 101 games this season.

The Bosox also shipped Lackey to St. Louis for fellow righty Joe Kelly and outfielder Allen Craig. Lackey is 11-7 with a 3.60 ERA in the fourth year of a five-year, $82.5 million deal. Kelly is 2-2 with a 4.37 ERA in seven starts. Craig is batting .237 with seven homers and 44 RBIs.

In other deadline deals:

— The Red Sox have obtained third baseman Kelly Johnson from the New York Yankees for shortstop Stephen Drew, who is batting just .176 with four homers and 11 RBIs in 39 games this season. Johnson was hitting .219 with six homers and 22 RBIs in 77 games before landing on the disabled list.

— Atlanta has acquired utilityman Emilio Bonifacio (boh-nih-FAH'-see-oh), left-handed reliever James Russell and cash from the Chicago Cubs for catching prospect Victor Caratini.

— The Miami Marlins obtained right-hander Jarred Cosart, utilityman Kiki Hernandez and outfielder Austin Wates from Houston for third baseman Colin Moran, outfielder Jake Marisnick, right-hander Francis Martes and a 2015 compensatory draft pick.

— Oakland sent lefty Tommy Milone to Minnesota to reacquire outfielder Sam Fuld, who's expected to help fill the void created by the A's dealing Cespedes. Milone was 6-0 with a 2.87 in his last 10 starts for Oakland before he was send to Triple-A, prompting him to ask for a trade.

— Baltimore picked up left-handed reliever Andrew Miller from Boston for minor league pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez. The 29-year-old Miller has a 2.34 ERA in 50 appearances with the Red Sox this year.

— Washington has acquired two-time All-Star infielder Asdrubal (as-DROO'-buhl) Cabrera and cash from Cleveland for little-used shortstop Zach Walters.

— Seattle has acquired outfielder Chris Denorfia from the San Diego Padres for a pair of minor leaguers.

— Left-handed hitter Gerardo Parra has been picked up by Milwaukee in a traded with Arizona for a pair of minor leaguers.

— The Yankees have acquired veteran infielder Martin Prado (mahr-TEEN' PRAH'-doh) from Arizona for minor league catcher Peter O'Brien.

— Twins All-Star catcher Kurt Suzuki was taken off the trading block after agreeing to a two-year, $12 million contract extension.

UNDATED (AP) — The American League division races are a little tighter following Thursday's action. Baltimore's lead in the AL East was chopped down to 1 ½ games over Toronto, Detroit's cushion in in the AL Central was trimmed to four games over Kansas City, and Oakland finds itself pacing the AL West by two games over the Los Angeles Angels.

The Angels made two of those races closer by pulling out a 1-0 victory in Baltimore on Albert Pujols' RBI single in the 13th inning. David Freese (freez) had four of the Angels' 12 hits, while Pujols went 2-for-6. L.A.'s bullpen came through with 8 1/3 shutout innings after Tyler Skaggs was lifted due to left forearm tightness. Skaggs held the Orioles hitless before walking off the mound with two outs in the fifth inning.

The Blue Jays gained ground as Nolan Reimold homered twice, including a tiebreaking solo shot in the ninth inning of a 6-5 triumph against Houston. Jose Bautista and Dioner Navarro also had solo homers in the Blue Jays' sixth consecutive victory.

In Detroit, Jose Abreu (ah-BRAY'-oo) reached base five times by going 3-for-3 with two walks in the White Sox's 7-4 win over the Tigers. Moises Sierra went 4-for-5 with an RBI, while Adam Eaton delivered three hits and two RBIs. Recently-acquired Tigers reliever Joakim Soria (wah-KEEM' SOHR'-ee-ah) hit Paul Konerko with the bases loaded in the seventh to give the White Sox a 5-4 lead.

Kansas City is within 3 ½ games of the AL Central lead after Alcides (al-SEE'-dehs) Escobar lined a tiebreaking, two-run triple in a four-run seventh that sent the Royals past Minnesota 6-3. Yordano Ventura gave up a leadoff homer to Danny Santana before holding the Twins to an unearned run and four hits over seven innings to even his record at 8-8.

Washington's lead in the NL East remains 1 ½ games over Atlanta after the Nationals and Braves lost.

The Nationals were blown out 10-4 by Philadelphia as Ben Revere tied a career-high with four hits. Grady Sizemore went 3-for-5 with three RBIs for the Phillies, who pounded out 17 hits but finished the game without starting pitcher Cliff Lee because of an elbow injury.

Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw became a13-game winner and lowered his ERA to 1.71 by tossing a nine-hitter with nine strikeouts in a 2-1 win over Atlanta in Los Angeles. Yasiel Puig (YAH'-see-ul pweeg) hit a solo homer and scored both L.A. runs as the Dodgers increased their lead in the NL West to 3 ½ games over idle San Francisco.

Elsewhere in the majors:

— Seattle coughed up a 4-1 lead and trailed 5-4 until Mike Zunino's two-run homer in the eighth gave the Mariners a 6-5 win at Cleveland. Dustin Ackley also hit a three-run homer and Robinson Cano (kuh-NOH') went 2-for-5 with an RBI to lift his average to .328.

— Andy Marte (mahr-TAY') and Aaron Hill hit sixth-inning homers as Arizona dumped Pittsburgh 7-4, dropping the Pirates 2 ½ games behind the NL Central-leading Milwaukee Brewers. Nick Ahmed (ah-MEHD') hit his first major league homer to cap the scoring for the Diamondbacks.

— Oscar Tavares hit a two-run homer as St. Louis beat the Padres 6-2 in San Diego to avoid a three-game sweep. Shelby Miller and three relievers combined on a three-hitter.

— Johnny Cueto (KWAY'-toh) looked good in Cincinnati's 3-1 win at Miami, striking out nine and holding the Marlins to a run and four hits in seven innings. Ryan Ludwick snapped a 1-1 tie with a two-run single in a three-run eighth that allowed the Reds to climb back to .500.

— Jake Arrieta struck out seven in seven innings, leading the Chicago Cubs to a 3-1 victory over the Colorado Rockies at Wrigley Field. Arrieta is 6-2 with a 2.11 ERA.

DETROIT (AP) — Minor league pitcher Evan Reed says he passed a polygraph test earlier this year after he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a downtown Detroit hotel.

The member of the Detroit Tigers organization has been arraigned on two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. A not guilty plea was entered for Reed, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 12.

His lawyer has said Reed and the woman had consensual sex, and Reed echoed that during a news conference after Thursday's hearing.
