The Casper Cutthroats baseball team clinched the number one seed in the Mountain Collegiate League playoffs with an 8-5 win over Cheyenne on Thursday Night. Trey Nelson and Hayden Prewitt each drove in 2 runs for Casper who upped their record to 26-13. Casper has 2 regular season games remaining against Cheyenne and the MCL playoffs will begin Monday with Northern Colorado taking on Sterling. The winner will meet the Cutthroats to start a best of 5 championship series beginning on Tuesday at Lansing Field.
