The Casper Cutthroats watched a golden opportunity slip away as they lost 1-0 to Northern Colorado in game 2 of the Mountain Collegiate League Championship Series at Lansing Field on Wednesday night. The Cutthroats after winning game 1 4-3 in 12 innings on Tuesday, managed just 4 hits in the contest. Northern Colorado score the games only run in the first inning as the Cutthroats wasted a fine pitching performance from Chris Tate who struck out 8 in 7 innings of work. The best of 5 series is now even at a game apiece with game 3 Thursday night at Lansing Field at 6:30.
