It seems like the Denver Nuggets just can't catch a break. Wait, that was probably worded wrong considering the mass amount of injuries that seems to have befallen the team. Starting center, JaVale McGee has been out since November with a stress fracture in his left tibia. Off the bench forward, Darrell Arthur is out with a sore groin and right quadriceps injury and is considered day to day.

Possibly the biggest blow is the disturbing news that starting small forward Danilo Gallinari will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on his left knee for the second time in nine months. The initial injury occurred last April during the Nuggets vs. Mavericks game. Early reports indicted he had torn an ACL. He underwent surgery on April 30 to repair the meniscus damage, but the procedure did not address the ACL. This week’s ACL reconstruction surgery will keep Gallo out for the rest of the season.

Although he hasn't played at all this season, you can definitely see the difference in Denver's offense. Even with starting point guard, Ty Lawson averaging a double double and spurts from Wilson Chandler (who has also been off and on the injured reserve list in the past couple of years) and new-to-the-team this year, long-range shooter, Randy Foye, the Nuggets are missing probably their best pure scorer.

We wish the best for the Italian Stallion and await his return.
