The Denver Broncos bounced back Sunday with a 38-24 win over the Oakland Raiders to move to within a game a top of the AFC West Division. The Broncos (3-5) are right behind Oakland, Kansas City and San Diego who are 4-4.

Eddie Royal had an 85 yard punt return for a touchdown for the Broncos, and Willis McGahee ran for 163 yards including a 60-yard run for a touchdown. Quarterback Tim Tebow threw for 2-touchdowns and rushed for 112 yards. Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer threw for three touchdowns, but also threw three interceptions. The Broncos play at Kansas City this Sunday.

The Wyoming Cowboys lost their first Mountain West Conference game Saturday to TCU 31-20. The Cowboys foreced five TCU turnovers but surrendered over 600 yards of offense. The Cowboys continue conference play this Saturday at Air Force.

The five championship games are set for Wyoming high school football this Friday and Saturday at the University of Wyoming. On Friday at noon is the 2A title game with Lovell and Lyman, followed by the 3A championship with Powell and Douglas. On Saturday at 10am is the 6-Man game with Dubois and Snake River. the 1A championship at 1pm with Southeast and Cokeville with the 4A game at 4pm with Sheridan and Cheyenne East. All games at Memorial Stadium.
