Cheering on your favorite sports team with some friendly jabs to the other team's fans is one thing, but some fans of two prominent West Coast baseball teams have taken things to a whole new, sickening level.

Earlier this week, a Dodgers fan was stabbed to death near AT&T Park in San Francisco after a Giants-Dodgers game. This comes a little more than two years after Giants fan Brian Stow was brutally attacked outside Dodger Stadium.

When you think of great sports rivalries, Dodgers-Giants is certainly among them, a tradition that's carried over since they days when the two played in New York. Is it time for MLB to intervene?
