Say What?

What up people?  Well it has been a pretty busy week around sports, I’d say.  I watched the ESPY’s last week.  I was a little sad that my man, Aaron Rodgers didn’t win anything, but oh well, he was the league MVP.  I will wait for the regular season to really see him shine!  LeBron and the Heat won a couple of awards, as I thought they should.  I didn’t really think Jeremy Lin was gonna win the breakout player of the year, but he did.  And oh, he is now going to Houston.  That should be interesting.  Not much on the Dwight Howard soap opera.  Thank God!  He is an awesome player, but please, dude, make up your mind!

Drew Brees is finally going to get the money he deserves for his talent, as is Matt Forte and Ray Rice.  Football is going to be so much better this year, I think.  Training camp and preseason is really going to make a huge difference in how the games will be played.  I think the players will be in much better condition and able to play for the entire season without too many injuries, so it would stand to reason, anyway.

And the Jerry Sandusky fallout continues.  I heard today that there were two other men who have come forward, and I’m sure as time goes by, more will follow suit.  I understand the Joe Paterno made a huge contribution to Penn State.  But I have had to ask myself, what could that man have been thinking to let so much time go by knowing all the while that boys’ lives would be shattered and think that it was okay to look the other way.  What does that say about people in that position?  The man was revered and looked up to.  People who have that much influence over young people should think seriously about what their actions reflect.

I also read today that T.O. has been around working out at different places.  I wonder if and where he will land.  Do you think he still has what it takes to contribute to a team?  Chad Johnson, formerly Chad Ochocinco is also giving it a run.  Personally, I like these guys, and if they can compete, give them a chance!
