Third ranked Oklahoma State outlasted 4th ranked Stanford 41-38 in overtime. Stanford missed a field goal on the last play in regulation that could have won the game outright and then also missed a field goal in overtime.

Oklahoma State quarterback Brandon Weedin threw for 399 yards. Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck who will be the number one pick in the upcoming NFL draft was 27 of 31 for 347 yards and 2-touchdowns.

In the Rose Bowl, 6th ranked Oregon won the Rose Bowl for the first time in 95 years beating 9th ranked Wisconsin 45-38 in the highest scoring Rose Bowl ever. In the Outback Bowl, 12th ranked Michigan State rallied from 16 points down to beat 18th ranked Georgia 33-30 in three overtimes. Florida avoided its first losing season since 1979 by defeating Ohio State 24-17 in the Gator Bowl. South Carolina won their 11th game of the year defeating Nebraska in the Capital One Bowl 30-13. Houston quarterback Case Kennum threw for 532 yards as the Cougars beat Penn State 30-14 in the Ticket City Bowl. And the bowl season continues tonight  with Michigan and Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl.

The NFL playoffs kickoff this weekend and the Denver Broncos (8-8) champions of the AFC  West will host Wildcard Pittsburgh (12-4) on Sunday. The Broncos are going into the playoffs with three straight losses, the latest on Sunday at home a 7-3 loss to Kansas City. Kickoff is at 2:30pm and can be heard on AM 1030 KTWO.

The Wyoming Cowboys return to action tonight when they travel to Utah Valley. The Pokes are 12-2 on the year and will mark the second game of the season with these two teams. The Cowboys beat Utah Valley earlier  74-41. Tip-off is at 7pm from Orem and we'll have it on AM 1030 KTWO.

The Wyoming Cowgirls lost on the road yesterday afternoon to Eastern Michigan, 65-43. The Cowgirls with just 15 points in the first half and were badly out rebounded in the game. Eastern Michigan held a 30-8 advantage on the offensive boards alone. Shaundra Sewell led the way with 19 points. Wyoming (4-9) will start Mountain West Conference play Wednesday night when they host UNLV at the AA.

And the Wyoming wrestling team ranked 20th in the nation will host 9th ranked Oklahoma tonight. The Pokes are coming off a 24-17 loss to 2nd ranked Oklahoma State on New Years Day.
