Girls Soccer: 4A Regionals And 3A State Qualifying Matchups And Results 2015

We already know half of the teams that have qualified for the state tournament.

Time to find out which remaining teams are worthy to be considered the other half.

4A East at Cheyenne East:

#1 Sheridan and #2 Cheyenne East each receive a first round bye and have automatically qualified for the state tournament.

Laramie gets #3 seed over Gillette, because the Lady Plainsmen own the head-to-head tie-breaker, by going 1-0-1 vs. the Lady Camels.

Thursday, May 21:

#3 Laramie 5 #6 Cheyenne South 0 - South Eliminated. Laramie qualifies for the state tournament.

#4 Gillette 1 #5 Cheyenne Central 0 - Central Eliminated. Gillette qualifies for the state tournament.

Friday, May 22:

#2 Cheyenne East 3 Laramie 0

#1 Sheridan 3 Gillette 2 Shootout: 2-0

Saturday, May 23:

Laramie 1 Gillette 0 - 3rd Place

East 3 Sheridan 1 - 1st Place

4A West at Rock Springs:

#1 Green River and #2 Natrona each receive a first round bye, and have automatically qualified for the state tournament.

Thursday, May 21:

#3 Kelly Walsh 5 #6 Riverton 0 - Riverton Eliminated. Kelly Walsh qualifies for the state tournament.

#4 Rock Springs 2 #5 Evanston 1 - Evanston Eliminated. Rock Springs qualifies for the state tournament.

Friday, May 22:

Kelly Walsh 3 #2 Natrona 2 Shootout: 4-3

#1 Green River 1 Rock Springs 0

Saturday, May 23:

Natrona 2 Rock Springs 0 - 3rd Place

Kelly Walsh 3 Green River 0 - 1st Place

3A State Qualifying Games at Worland:

Buffalo, Lander, Cody, and Jackson have the weekend off and are already in the state tournament.

Jackson and Star Valley finished tied for first in the southwest quadrant, and split their head-to-head games, but Jackson wins the common opponent tie-breaker, because the Lady Broncs have a win home vs. both Cody and Powell, whereas the Lady Braves don't (lost both at home).

Friday, May 22:

(#2 SE) Torrington 3 (#3 SW) Pinedale 1 OT - Pinedale Eliminated. Torrington qualifies for the state tournament and will play Buffalo in the first round.

(#3 NW) Powell 4 (#2 NE) Newcastle 1 - Newcastle Eliminated. Powell qualifies for the state tournament and will play Lander in the first round.

Saturday, May 23:

(#2 NW) Worland 7 (#3 NE) Douglas 0 - Douglas Eliminated. Worland qualifies for the state tournament and will play Jackson in the first round.

(#2 SW) Star Valley 4 (#3 SE) Rawlins 0 - Rawlins Eliminated. Star Valley qualifies for the state tournament and will play Cody in the first round.
