It looks like the Casper Ghosts minor league baseball team took another step towards relocating to Grand Junction, Colorado. The Grand Junction City Council Wednesday night authorized their city manager to move forward with talks with the Monfort Investment Group who owns the Ghosts.

It's no secret that talks have been on going under the table. Now the negotiations are more above board. So a lease agreement would have to be ironed out to use Spulizio Field, the host of the Junior College World Series. The facility is under going a $8.5 million make over. The Grand Junction City Council is expected to hear more about the prospect of minor league baseball at their next meeting on October 17th.

The Divisional League Baseball Playoffs will have two more fifth game matcups Friday. Arizona evened up their series with Milwaukee as the Diamondbacks beat the Brewers 10-6. That final game will be in Milwaukee. And St. Louis beat Philadelphia 5-3 to force a fith game Friday night in Philly. The New York Yankees and the Detroit Tigers will play their fifth game tonight in New York. That winner will advance to the ALCS to face Texas.

The two Casper schools are back in action Friday night in 4A football. Kelly Walsh coming off their first win of the season last Friday night against Rock Springs 17-14 will play host to winless Cheyenne South. Pregame show is at 6:45 with kickoff at 7:00pm on AM 1400 ESPN in the Prep Game of the Week. Top ranked Natrona heads to Evanston for a 6:00pm kickoff. The Mustangs (6-0) the lone 4A unbeaten defeated Cheyenne East last Friday 26-3.
