High School Soccer: Casper Cup This Afternoon-Daily Sports Update

It's the annual Casper Cup as Natrona will play host to Kelly Walsh. The KW girls come into this afternoon's match at 8-5. NC is 10-2-1 and has a win over Kelly Walsh already this season. The Fillies last won the Cup in 2009. That will start at 4pm this afternoon at Cheney Alumni Field at NC.

The boys game will follow around 6pm. Kelly Walsh is 5-5-3 and Natrona is 3-10 with KW beating NC earlier in the season. Kelly Walsh won last year's Cup match.

In high school football, Riverton High School is looking for a new head coach as Jeremy McCormick has resigned after 3 assistant coaches were fired and 4 other assistants quit. McCormick has been with Riverton for 5 years and the Wolverines made the playoffs in 4 of those seasons.

The Colorado Rockies took the 3 game series from the Los Angeles Dodgers Wednesday night 7-3. Troy Tulowitski and Carlos Gonzoles each had 2 run doubles. The Rockies beat Dodger starter Josh Beckett who fell to 0-4 on the season. The Rockies have today off before starting their first interleague series, hosting Tampa Bay tomorrow night at Coors Field.
