Say What?

What up people?  Well finally, the Dwama, aka Dwight Howard drama is finally over!  He is officially an L.A. Laker.  Thank God.  This deal came up suddenly and thankfully didn’t take long to play out.  At least now we all know and can go on with our lives knowing that Dwight is done in Orlando.

The first week of preseason football is in the books, and has been fun to watch to say the least.  I think Denver fans are waiting for Peyton to get hit so everyone can gauge how he will respond.  I think Bronco fans will be pleasantly surprised to learn that the guy is tough.  He’s not Tebow…he’s a Pro Bowler.

Green Bay left much to be desired when I watched that game.  From what I saw and what I have been reading, the off season was supposed to be about beefing up the defense.  I just saw a defense unlike the end of last season; pretty shaky.  I hope injuries don’t hinder their progress, mainly because I have picked them to win the Super Bowl!

Andrew Luck has been the talk of the day, today.  He looks good in the pocket and seems to have command of the huddle.  Andrew and RGIII look good and it will be fun to watch so many rookies start at quarterback this year.  I’m looking forward to Cam Newton coming into his own this year, as well.

Just as quick as Chad Johnson got a shot, he took it and flushed it down the toilet.  What a shame.  After the chewing out that he got from the head coach last week, I am not surprised that the coach is not going to keep him on the team.

Plaxico Burress is working out at the Pats, and the Pack has signed Cedric Benson.  There are just all kinds of things moving around in the league.  T.O. seems to be doing an outstanding job in Seattle, according to Pete Carroll via twitter.

How do you think the replacement refs are doing?  For me, I think that younger, newer refs are not such a bad thing.  Yes, there will be some mistakes, but I’m sure even the experienced refs didn’t get everything right in the beginning.  Thank goodness for replay, right?  Let’s let it play out a little bit, which from what I understand, is a forgone conclusion because of the lockout.  They will come into their own.

Until next week, keep it real!!!
