Kelly Walsh Boys; Natrona Girls Advance To Semifinals

The Kelly Walsh Trojans and the Natrona Fillies have advance to the semifinals of the 4A State Basketball Tournament. The Fillies with a dramatic come from behind win over Laramie 39-36 in overtime as Lexi Switzer hit a 3 pointer with 10 seconds remaining in overtime and then Veronique Gallegos got a steal and a layup at the buzzer for the win. The Fillies trailed most of the game. NC beat Laramie in December at Natrona 64-27.

The Trojans defeated Cheyenne Central 29-26 Thursday afternoon. KW shutout Central in the first quarter and led at haftime 15-9. But the Indians slowly got back into the game and tied it after 3 quarters at 19. The Trojans would outscore the Indians in the 4th 10-7 for the victory.

The Fillies will play Gillette at 6:00pm at the Casper Events Friday night followed by Kelly Walsh and Evanston at 7:30. Both games on AM 1400 ESPN.
