The Kelly Walsh Trojans host the Rock Springs Tigers in a key 4A matchup tonight at Harry Geldien Stadium. Both teams need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

The Trojans (0-5) are coming off the Oil Bowl defeat from Natrona 49-6. The Tigers (1-4) were shutout by Sheridan last Friday night 28-0. Rock Springs lone win came in week one over Laramie 13-7 in overtime. To get into the playoffs, most feel two wins should get you in. For the Trojans they host winless Cheyenne South next Friday followed by road games at Sheridan and Cheyenne Central. Rock Springs plays the Cheyenne schools the next three weeks. Home to East next Friday followed by a home game with  Central and then finishing up  at South. The Prep Game Of The Week has top-ranked Natrona (5-0) at fourth ranked Cheyenne East (4-1). Both teams are coming off identical scores of 49-6 with victories over Kelly Walsh and South. Kick off is a 7pm with the pregame show at 6:45 on AM 1400 ESPN.

High school volleyball from Thursday night as Riverton swept Natrona three games to none. Scores were 25-17, 25-20 and 25-21. Natrona falls to 2-4 in conference play. Both Natrona and Kelly Walsh will be in Sheridan tomorrow for a tournament.

In Junior College Volleyball, Casper College defeated Northwest College of Powell Thursday night at Erickson Gym. Scores were 25-22, 26-24, 22-25 and 27-25. The T-Birds are now 12-11 and have won five of their last six matches.

The State high School Tennis Tournament continues today in Gillette. After day one, the Gillette boys and the Natrona girls were leading in the team standings. The tournament wraps up Saturday afternoon.
