In a bidding war, the likes of which haven't been seen since Lebron made his "decision," The New York Knicks finally nabbed Carmelo Anthony from the Denver Nuggets, beating out the New Jersey Nets to secure the talents and boyish good looks of the 26-year-old superstar.

To many, this did not come as much of a surprise. Anthony refused to sign a 3 year contract extension earlier in the year. Anthony, as well as four other Nuggets were traded to the Knicks in exchange for 4 Knicks and a first-round draft pick. In regards to the trade, Denver coach George Karl stated that "all trades for coaches are sad...I'm glad it's over, I'm glad it's an opportunity to reinvent." Continuing, Karl said that he thinks "everybody handled it as classy as you can handle it." New York Coaches hope that Anthony can be in his jersey and ready to play by Wednesday's game.
