The Kelly Walsh girls and the Natrona Boys won the opening round of the battle of Casper on Friday night at the KW complex with some breezy conditions for the girls game and relatively calm conditions for the boys game. The Kellly Walsh ladies erupted for 4 goals in the 2nd half enroute to a 4-0 victory. Bailey Neff and Chelsea Thornburgh scored back to back in the 59th and 61st minutes, Abree Hill scored in the 69th and 71st minutes as the Trojans improved to 6-0 on the year with NC falling to 3-4.

The boys game was very competitive as the teams traded goals in the first half. Andrew Kristy of Kelly Walsh found the net in the 22nd minute while Natrona's Danny Diaz answered in the 29th minute. It was 1 all after regulation and in the first overtime, Ben Radosevich gave NC the lead for good with a goal and the Mustangs held on from there. NC improves to 5-3 on the year and has displayed marked improvement from a year ago. KW drops to 3-2-1.

The Natrona boys and girls will be at Green River on Tuesday. The Kelly Walsh boys will be in Laramie on April 18th. The Kelly Walsh girls will host Laramie on that same day.
