Montana's Beau Clark posted steer wrestling times of 10.4 seconds in each of his two runs this year and is in the #1 spot at the Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo..  He was out  for  "slack" Tuesday and Wednesday morning in Frontier Park's huge arena where by the second day the steers, new to rodeo, realized what was coming and most never got caught. They took maximum advantage of the thirty-foot lead that is a tradition at Cheyenne.

Clark is rodeo coach at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne so he's sure to have a lot of cheering fans on hand at the finals a week from Sunday. In the meantime his name will be atop the leader board for several days because there isn't any more Frontier Days steer wrestling competition until the afternoon performances begin this weekend.
