UNDATED (AP) — Tyler Bozak scored on a penalty shot and then got the winning goal 1:51 into overtime to lift the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 3-2 victory over the Rangers. That spoiled the New York debut of Martin St. Louis (mar-TAN' san loo-EE'), obtained earlier in the day from Tampa Bay.

Toronto's first win in Madison Square Garden since 2011 ended the Leafs' three-game losing streak. The Rangers have lost three straight.

In other hockey action:

__ Philadelphia built a four-goal lead and beat Washington 6-4. Claude Giroux (zheh-ROO') and Jakub Voracek (YAH'-kuhm VOHR'-rah-chehk) each scored twice for the Flyers. Alex Ovechkin netted his league-leading 44th goal for the Caps. __ Calgary topped Ottawa 4-1. Michael Cammalleri (kam-ihl-YEHR'-ee) scored his 15th for the Flames.

__ Montreal nipped Anaheim 4-3 in a shootout. Andrei Markov won it in the sixth round of the shootout. Backup goalie Dustin Tokarski, just up from the minors, earned his first NHL victory between the pipes.

UNDATED (AP) — A pair of team captains were part of a headline making deal that came just before the NHL trade deadline.

The Rangers set Ryan Callahan to Tampa Bay in exchange for Martin St. Louis (mar-TAN' san loo-EE'). The Lightning also get a second-round pick in this year's draft, and a first round pick in next year's draft.

Callahan reportedly wanted a six-year deal worth $6.5 million dollars per season, but it's believed the Rangers wouldn't go above $6 million.

The 38-year old St. Louis had been seeking a trade after initially being left off Canada's Olympic roster by Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman (EYE'-zur-man) who served as Canada's executive director. St. Louis led the NHL in scoring in the lockout shortened 2013 season with 60 points.

In other trade deadline maneuvering:

— Montreal has picked up winger Thomas Vanek from the Islanders for forward prospect Sebastian Collberg, a 2014 second-round pick and a conditional fifth-rounder. Vanek becomes the Canadiens leading scorer with 53 points. The 30-year-old Austrian player is in the final season of a $50 million, seven-year contract.

— Washington has acquire goalie Jaroslav Halak (hah-LAHK') and a 2015 third round draft pick from Buffalo for goalie Michal Neuvirth (NOY'-virth) and defenseman Rostislav Klesla. The Sabres picked up Halak in the trade with St. Louis for Ryan Miller last week.

— Anaheim gets Marian Gaborik (GA'-bor-ihk) from Columbus for right wing Matt Frattin and two conditional draft picks.

— The Pittsburgh Panthers have acquired forward Marcel Goc from the Florida Panthers and forward Lee Stempniak from the Calgary Flames in exchange for draft picks. Their acquisition is expected to give the Penguins some much needed depth on their injury riddled bottom two lines.

— The Boston Bruins have obtained defenseman Andrej Meszaros (AHN'-dray meh-SAR'-ohs) from the Philadelphia Flyers for a 2014 third-round draft choice. The 28-year-old Meszaros played 38 games this season for the Flyers with five goals and 12 assists.

— Dallas has acquired Tim Thomas from the Florida Panthers for Dan Ellis in a swap of goaltenders. The move is designed to give Dallas a boost behind starter Kari Lehtonen in its push for the playoffs.

— Nashville has traded forward David Legwand to Detroit for Patrick Eaves, a prospect and a third-round draft pick. Legwand was the expansion Predators first pick in the 1998 draft. He was tied for the team lead in scoring with 40 points.

—Buffalo has sent forwards Matt Moulson and Cody McCormick to Minnesota in exchange for forward Torrey Mitchell and pair of second-round picks.
