The wrestling teams of the Casper high schools were on the mat on Thursday night with Natrona defeating Riverton 43-26 and Kelly Walsh losing to powerhouse Gillette 62-12. On west side, Natrona fell behind early in the dual with the Wolverines and then rallied thanks to consecutive wins from Brett Benton at 126, Brevan Davis at 132, Denton Skogan at 138, Keegan Berry at 160 and Daniel Slack at 170. On the east side, Gillette proved once again why they're the premiere wrestling program in the state. The Camels have won the 4A title 12 years in a row and lost to 2 matches to the Trojans. KW's Takoda Clark at 120 and 170 pounder Garret Galey were victorious in what turned out to be a one sided dual. Both Natrona and Kelly Walsh will be in the weekend Shane Shatto Memorial tournament in Douglas.
