UNDATED (AP) — Tampa Bay's Matt Moore improved to 7-0 with six strong innings and the Rays beat the Boston Red Sox 5-3. Moore and Washington's Jordan Zimmermann are tied for the major league lead in victories.

Moore gave up a double to Dustin Pedroia (peh-DROY'-uh) and a three-run homer to David Ortiz in the first, then limited the struggling Red Sox to one hit over the next five innings.

The Rays overcame the early deficit with a five-run fifth off John Lackey, who fell to 1-4.

In other baseball:

__Adrian Beltre hit a tiebreaking home run in the 10th inning, Mitch Moreland followed with his second of the game and the Texas Rangers held off the Oakland Athletics 6-5 in Oakland.

__ Clayton Kershaw and Kenley Jansen combined on a five-hit shutout and the L.A. Dodgers blanked Washington 2-0. Andre Ethier (EE'-thee-ur) delivered all the scoring with a two-run single. Kershaw pitched eight and two-thirds shutout innings, striking out 11.

__ Arizona blanked Atlanta 2-0. Patrick Corbin allowed three hits in seven innings to improve to 6-0. He was helped by three double plays.

— Albert Pujols (POO'-hohlz), Howie Kendrick, Josh Hamilton and Mike Trout all homered off Jeremy Guthrie and the Los Angeles Angels handed the right-hander his first loss in a span of 19 starts with a 6-2 victory over Kansas City.

__ Knuckleballer R.A. Dickey snapped a four-start winless streak, Melky Cabrera had four hits against his former team and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the San Francisco Giants 10-6. Dickey is 3-5.

__ Homer Bailey pitched a six-hitter to earn his first victory since April 5, and the Cincinnati Reds extended their winning streak to four games by beating the Miami Marlins 6-2.

— Miguel Cabrera homered, Doug Fister pitched seven impressive innings and Andy Dirks gave the Tigers a lift for a second straight night in Detroit's 6-2 victory over the Houston Astros. Dirks, who had a grand slam Monday night, had a tiebreaking double in the Tigers' three-run fifth inning.

__ Chris Denorfia and Everth Cabrera hit two-out RBI singles off Jim Johnson in the ninth inning, and the San Diego Padres got a home run from Carlos Quentin in a 3-2 victory over Baltimore.

__ Kevin Frandsen and Domonic Brown hit solo homers and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Cleveland Indians 6-2. Jonathan Pettibone is 3-0 with the win.

__ The New York Yankees held off Seattle 4-3. The Yanks' 42-year-old reliever Mariano Rivera closed out the Mariners with a scoreless ninth for his 16th save in 16 chances.

__ Adam Dunn and Dayan Viciedo homered to back another strong start from Jake Peavy and lead the Chicago White Sox to a 4-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins. Peavy is 5-1.

— Carlos Gonzalez homered twice and finished with a career-high five hits to lead the Colorado Rockies to a 9-4 victory over the Chicago Cubs. Gonzalez was 5 for 5 and fell a triple shy of a cycle.

— Andrew McCutchen homered leading off the bottom of the 12th inning to lift the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 4-3 victory over Milwaukee.

__ St. Louis routed the New York Mets 10-4. Carlos Beltran drove in four runs to help John Gast win his major league debut.
