The Natrona County High School boys track team won the state championship on Saturday at the Harry Geldien Stadium with 197 points, easily outdistancing Kelly Walsh who rang up 133 points. The Mustangs received excellent performances in the field events, going 1-2-3 in the shot put with Ben Pieper winning that event with a toss of 53-09.25. NC also went 1-2-3 in the long jump with Tristan Cloward winning the individual title with a jump of 21-01.50. Natrona continued their exellence in the field events with a 1-4-5-8 finish in the discus led by Tavan Bryan who took first with a toss of 155 feet. Robert Creager took 2nd in the high jump and 2nd in the triple jump while Robert Counts won the 200 meter dash and finished 2nd in the 100.
