Natrona Downs Kelly Walsh in 4A Playoffs

The Natrona County Mustangs improved to 8-2 and advanced to the semi-final round of the 4A playoffs with a 23-7 win over crosstown rival Kelly Walsh on Friday night. The Mustangs took a 13-0 lead into the locker room at halftime thanks to a couple of field goals from Cody Wilkenson and a TD catch from Wes Richner. Kelly Walsh started the 2nd half with a fumble recovery for a touchdown by Hunter Wright but could not muster anything offensively. Richner added a 2n half TD catch and Wilkenson chipped in another field goal. Kelly Walsh finishes the season at 3-7. NC will travel to Sheridan for their semi-final round match-up. Sheridan defeated Natrona during the regular season.
