NC And KW Spilt In The Casper Cup Soccer
Casper Natrona and Kelly Walsh spilt their soccer matches last night at Cheney Alumni Stadium. The boys played in the 25th Annual Casper Cup with the Mustangs winning 2-1. The Mustangs had first half goals from Cole Montgomery and Dalton Shipman. The Trojans would answer with a second half goal from Tanner Vivian. But that's as close as the KW would get to their cross-town rivals. Natrona improves to 8-2 and Kelly Walsh drops to 3-7-1. Natrona leads the overall series 13-7-5. The Mustangs will host Rock Spring Friday night at 6pm and Green River at noon on Saturday. Kelly Walsh will host Gillette at 5:30 pm Thursday and the Trojans are in Sheridan Friday at 6:00pm.In the opening match of the day, Kelly Walsh picked up a win over Natrona, 2-1. Kaitlin Booth scored twice for the Trojans, one in each half. The Fillies got a goal from Erin Devault. The Trojans are now 3-8 and will be at Gillette on Thursday at 5:30 pm and will host Sheridan Friday at 5:00 pm. The Fillies drop to 6-4-1 and will travel to Rock Springs Friday at 5:00pm and then on to Green River Saturday at noon.
